At the Weinberg Residence, we respect your choices and independence. We also know that sometimes a little extra support is needed.
Included in your monthly package is help with personal assistance services from our Licensed Practical Nurses and our Care Aides. These services can range from light support to assistance with showering/bathing, dressing and managing your medications. We will work with you to develop a personal service plan that meets your individual needs.
A community of caring
Most of our care staff has been at the Weinberg Residence for many years, and all of us value the close relationships we’ve forged with our residents. We respect you for who you are, the wisdom you share and the life you continue to embrace.
When you join our family, you have the peace of mind that your needs are being met not just by highly qualified geriatric care professionals, but by caring members of a shared community.
Level of Care at the Weinberg Residence
Our resident Sheila describes the level of care she enjoys at the Weinberg!
The staff have wonderful attitudes. You can ask them anything — the staff that waits on us. I don’t know how they manage it with a smile because we could be, sometimes, a little difficult — you don’t want this, you don’t want that … With a smile, they take that away, bring you something else, and we’re certainly well-taken-care-of; we never go hungry. The — LPs — are very caring; they dispense your pills. I came here from the hospital and not able to do very much for myself. They always came to see if I needed any help getting dressed, they helped you take a shower. At night, one of them used to come in and tuck me into bed; she’d put the covers around me and give me a hug and say: “Bless you.” Well, I think that helped me — helped me regain my strength. At the present time, I have never been more content. I feel better. I have more energy than I had years ago. I’m more confident than I was years ago. And, I enjoy things — I do. I enjoy everything about the Weinberg — it’s the most wonderful place to be. I would tell everyone. If you possibly can, when you need it, come to the Weinberg. It’s your home, and you know you’re taken care of, God forbid, when it comes the time that you are not well and you go to the Louis Brier. You never have to move again.
